You can apply for a job by filling out our Employment Application. Please return it to us completed, along with a typed cover letter and resume, in person. IF you live more than two hours away we instead ask that you submit these items through email (email@example.com) along with a 30 second to 1-minute casual introduction video. In your video, tell us about yourself, both professionally and also your interests and hobbies.
ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: The Furniture Doctors offers an in-house, on-the-job training program to ensure our customers will receive consistent and quality craftsmanship and to help our employees learn each process, so they learn the skills they need to be successful.
PAID VACATION: Offered to full-time employees. One week after one full year of employment, and an additional day for each additional year of employment.
PAID HOLIDAYS: Offered to full-time employees. After one year of full-time employment, all full-time employees are paid eight (8) straight time hours for the following six designated observed holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
RETIREMENT BENEFITS: Offered to full time and part-time employees. After one full year of employment, the employee is eligible to participate in The Furniture Doctor’s SIMPLE retirement plan. The Furniture Doctors offers a 3% match.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: The Furniture Doctors encourages employees to grow their skills. Outside classes, workshops, programs, curriculum, or lessons that directly benefit the work performance of the employee are supplemented by The Furniture Doctors. The Furniture Doctors will contribute 50% towards an employee’s continuing education classes.
RAISES are not based upon time or length of service but on how quickly procedures are mastered and how one learns speed and quality of production.
