This is how you make a piece of history relevant and beautifully fit into any modern design….well done Furniture Dr’s!! My mom acquired this antique rocker in 1964 with the purchase of a home in Ellensburg, WA. It was already well worn but she rocked all 3 of her babies in this chair….I can still hear the creaking of wood with every rock. I also rocked my two girls in it and now both of my girls will have also. This is now being given to our newest granddaughter, Riley who is arriving later this month.

They do such beautiful work. Took my grandmothers sixty year old chair, that was barely being held together, and they made it into something beautiful and comfortable. It is now my favorite piece of furniture.

We are so happy with the refinishing of our hutch. It is very special to us as it was one of my parents first pieces of furniture. It now fits perfectly in our new condo-which was also my parents for 30 years! Thank you for your professionalism and attention to detail.

I have had the Furniture Doctors complete a number of projects for me that have included reconstruction/rehabilitation of several high quality antique chairs and tables, re upholstery work, veneer repair and refinishing work. Everything that they have done for me has turned out very nicely. The only negative that I could mention is that the lead times for some work is longer than I would have preferred. This is not necessarily bad though. I think that they are very meticulous in having things turn out well, their type of work is in high demand and it is probably hard to hire enough of the type of skilled craftsman that they would need to produce good quality work. I am glad that they are here locally and I hope to have other projects go there in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of recruiting the Furniture Doctors to repair special items newly in my possession . This is not my first experience with the Furniture Doctors. A couple of beautiful family pieces arrived from San Francisco with breaks sustained during their shipment. Knowing from past experience of their beautiful work, I specified my preference to my insurance Adjuster that Furniture Doctors do the repairs. Once the Adjuster took the project up with Furniture Doctors, the project flew out of my hands and was completed beautifully and well ahead of the expected completion date. The project couldn't have been easier for me. The items were collected at my home and delivered back to me. They are beautiful once again. We are so fortunate to have Furniture Doctors in this area . I wouldn't entrust repairs to beautiful antiques to anyone else. Furniture Doctors are specialists extraordinaire.

Really friendly staff, we took a roll top desk in for an estimate. After a thorough examination, they explained the cost and how much each part of the repair/refurbish was going to cost, along with options, both higher cost and lower cost. We settled on a middle of the road plan, keeping much of the character of the desk, but opting to repair anything needing it and replacing pieces that were too badly damaged. Here are before photos, I'll post after photos and an update on workmanship once the desk is completed.

These guys do incredible work! They fixed and cleaned up a couple of antiques we have that were damaged during our move and you'll have a hard time seeing where the damage was. They do amazing repair work. Not cheap by any stretch but you get what you pay for, amirite?

Restored an old and decrepit waiting room bench from Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Probably post WWII vintage. Restoration cost more than the bench was worth, but I inherited it and it has sentimental value for me. Restoration yeilded sturdy construction and good finish.
